Organizations working in their communities or in the public health arena are invited to attend a free community
training event for men’s and women’s urologic health and wellness.

| WHAT: |
The AUA Foundation will host a half-day-long program to train voluntary organizations, community leaders or health care workers working with patients, caregivers and the public on urologic health and wellness.
This Community Cross Training will provide participants with peer-reviewed information and materials to conduct programs within their communities. Participants will receive a free Urology Health and Wellness Toolkit comprised of area-specific modules for plug-and-play application. Each module of the Toolkit will enable its user to conduct education, support and outreach from any location–community center, office, school, place of worship. The complete Toolkit will include PowerPoint™ presentations, DVDs, fact sheets, and both patient and provider collateral material.

The goal of the Community Cross Training in Urologic Wellness 2009 is to improve the lives and urologic health of community residents by training community leaders to recognize, educate and refer residents to the appropriate urologic care and/or resources and services for these potentially life threatening and life changing urologic conditions.* |
